Perak Fiasco

I am just a normal lay person in Malaysia or so-called citizen of Malaysia, of which I have been voting BN for a few times during election. The recent election I voted for the Opposition Camp for the first time in my life as I have enough of the so-call unity team in BN and to my surprise the Tsunami happen.

I have been trying to stay out of politic events or express my opinion on the blog because I truly believe in the constitution, the laws, the orders and also the politician which we have voted them to represent us. This so call politician is non-other than a public servant pay by us (tax money) to serve the public and to efficiently improve the life of the public and the day-to-day running of a democratic government.

The recent fiasco in Perak state grabbing by BN whether valid or invalid in the eyes of the law have caught me speechless. The constitution, the laws, and the politician in particular have put us as citizen for this country to shame and being ridicule, joked at by other countries. I have been asked so many times by people of other countries about this event. Also as a citizen of my beloved country what is my opinion and what am I going to do with this politician whether opposition or not. One major question that always being asked by foreign country is don't we have a separation between, the state goverment, the state law, the federal law and the federal goverment itself

As usual before Friday announcement by the Court of Appeal, most of the public already knew the outcome of this situation, that the so call Thief Zambry by the Opposition will win hands down. Most of us at the teh tarik stall already predicted this outcome and some of us believe this beautiful and beloved country have lost its integrity in the eyes of the world and the Malaysian public who have been fence sitting….so we are indeed 1Malaysia after all.

The constitution have now been poured down the drain and yet the coalition parties such as MCA, MIC, Gerakan, PPP and other parties in Sabah and Sarawak have been keeping so quiet about this matter.

How can you so call parties for your people let the constitution of our beloved country being abuse and step-on …… and you politician so call yourself the elected representatives for us the public and you must remember that you are the public servant to us …to serve and uphold the constitution, one of the major pillar of our country.

The question remains either you believe you are the elected public representatives or public servant for the people or you are nothing but a slumdog in the government. That leaves us with the next question …..what are we going to do with you (MCA, MIC, Gerakan, PPP and etc) in the next election?????

Wesak - Remember The Buddha Teaching

Happy Wesak

Remember one of the first Buddha saying or quotes as shown below

The Buddha said:

Do not believe in anything (simply) because you have heard it.

Do not believe in tradition because they have been handed down for many generations.

Do not believe in anything because it is spoken and rumoured by many.

Do not believe in anything (simply) it is found written in your religious books.

Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.

But after observation and analysis when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all then accept it and live up to it.

and another quote is

Life Is Uncertain but Death is Certain.

Mind and Body

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, nor to worry about the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.

About 9 years ago, I was admitted to the hospital via emergency due to a heavy asthma attack. I was lucky as my brother was near my house when he received the emergency call to come and drive me to the hospital. When my brother arrived, I was totally out of energy and my breathing became very shallow. He drove me to the hospital. I was carried onto a stretcher and into the emergency room.

At that point of time, my chances of surviving was 50/50. My heart beat was above 110 per minute and could led to cardiac arrest at any time. The doctor and nurses were very professional. They continuously told me that I will be alright and I was safe in their hand. My mind kept wandering seeing things that may not be there. Small bright lights appeared from a distance. My mind shifted me to the future. I could see my entire life. It was a very unique experience.

Whilst my mind shifted back and forth I suddenly recalled my master's teaching on mediation. He says the mind controls the body and thus we should concentrate on the present moment. I close my eyes and practiced mediation technique taught by master. Gradually, I became more relax and my breathing became easier (The relieve could have been brought by effect of the medicine). My heart beat slowed down and became normal again.

Eventually after 3 days of treatment and rest at the hospital I was discharged. A new life and journey begin. It is a journey where I make effort to be more compassion, subdue my anger, and to love and be kind to all creatures. Most important to love the people around me and hopefully to bring joy to them

I am forever indebted to my brother, David Lee, the hospital staff at Sunway Hospital, and my lovely wife (Kwee Peng) who stayed overnight with me at the hospital. She was so stressed and worried that she developed difficulty in breathing herself. :-)

Shadows of Your Life

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.
When someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
When we must realize is that our need has been met, our desired fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a season, because your turn has come to share, grow and learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season
Lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
things you must build upon in order to have a solid foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant
